In addition to ARTA, the following agencies are involved in delivering transport activities in the Auckland region:

Auckland Regional Council (ARC) - responsible for preparing the Regional Land Transport Strategy (RLTS)

Transit New Zealand - responsible for planning, managing and developing state highways

ONTRACK - a State Owned Enterprise responsible for managing the national railway system and the detailed design and implementation of infrastructure improvements of tracks, station platforms, signals and station access

Land Transport NZ - a Crown entitiy responsible for land transport funding and promoting safety and sustainability
